Meredith Joy is a indie/folky/Christian singer-songwriter in the Nashville area. Originally from Maine, she grew up playing and teaching as many instruments as she could learn, and served as the band director of 5th-12th graders in a small, rural community.
Fueled by harmony and cutting lyrics, she and her family moved down to Music City in 2014. Since that time she has led worship in churches, and performed in artist showcases and coffee houses all over the Nashville area.
Often compared to Natalie Merchant, her writing style is influenced by Sarah Groves, Francesca Battistelli and the Canadian acoustic trio, The Wailin’ Jennys.
